Hurricane Florence made landfall in North Carolina on September 14, 2018 as a Category 1 storm, causing catastrophic damage and killing 28 people. Ultimately 31 counties received a federal disaster declaration for Individual Assistance. Due to its coastal storm track, Florence caused extensive storm surge flooding to coastal communities including record flooding in Wilmington.

We work in partnership with other agencies and organizations that provide services to disaster victims. |
